A few of our Purangakura wāhine attended the New Zealand ESRI User Conference 2025 in Ōtautahi. Our team are learning more about ArcGIS and how we can use this tool for kaupapa Māori research that helps inform and transforms communities.
The 2025 New Zealand Esri User Conference opened in Otautahi welcoming a diverse audience from Aotearoa and the Pacific, with a focus on connecting, sharing, and learning about GIS advancements.
Key presentations covered the evolution and integration of GIS technology, with updates from Esri executives, product teams, and local case studies. The conference kaupapa, “Integrate Everything Everywhere,” underscored the drive to break down silos, foster collaboration, and showcase innovative GIS applications across sectors. Attendees were encouraged to network, provide feedback, and participate in events.
